How do I find out what version of Windows MediaPlayer I have?
Steps: We need to launch Windows Media Player by either one of two ways.
- Click the "Start Menu" and select run. In the box type "wmplayer" and click OK.
- Click the "Start Menu" and go to "Accessories > Entertainment > Windows Media Player" and select it.
Once Windows Media Player has been launched and you see the window in front of you, select "About Windows Media Player" from the help menu. The number that closely resembles this: X.XX.XX.XXXX (example: 8.00.00.4477). This is the version number.
