I received an Error Message (a specific error or encountered a specific problem) while running iLumina.
Error: "Director Player error; handler not defined"
Error: "Property not found: #filename"
Error: "MSVFW32.DLL"
Error: "drive\device\harddisk #\dr # (or something close to it)"
Problem: "When I run iLumina, an alert message comes up saying that there was not enough memory to run. What do I do?"
"The error message I'm receiving during installation isn't listed here."
Error: "Director Player error; handler not defined"
Areas of occurrence: iLumina in general
Resolution: This error indicates that iLumina may not be properly or fully installed. We would suggest uninstalling then trying another installation of iLumina. Please follow these steps below.
Use the "Add/Remove Programs" Control Panel to uninstall iLumina. Here's how:
- Click the START button
- Scroll to SETTINGS
- Click CONTROL PANEL
- Double-click the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS Control Panel to open it
- Click ILUMINA BIBLE in the list of programs
- Click the ADD/REMOVE (or CHANGE/REMOVE) button
If, after following these steps, iLumina still appears to be on your computer, there's a more thorough (but slower) way to uninstall. Follow these steps:
- Insert iLumina CD-ROM #3 into your CD-ROM drive
- Double-click the MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop to open it
- Right-click the CD-ROM drive icon, then click OPEN
- Double-click the UNINSTALL icon to run the uninstaller
This secondary uninstaller may take a longer time, and it may look like it isn't doing anything, but rest assured its clearing all the iLumina files from your computer. There are thousands of files, so please let it continue. When it finishes, it will automatically exit. Reboot your computer, then reinstall iLumina.

Error: "Property not found: #filename"
Areas of occurrence: Typically when launching iLumina, accessing the Bible Module, accessing the Media Center Module.
Resolution: This indicates that either your computer has an older version of Windows Media Player installed or that you don't have Windows Media Player installed at all. - Click on your "Start Menu" and go to "Programs" then "Accessories"
- In "Accessories" go to "Entertainment" then launch "Windows Media Player"
- Under the "Help" menu in Windows Media Player, click on the link that says "About Windows Media Player"
- In the little window that pops up you'll see a version number listed. The average computer will display a version number similar to this: "7.00.00.1440".
If the version number you find is lower than 6.4, then follow the steps below to update or install the latest version of Windows Media Player.

Error: "MSVFW32.DLL"
Areas of occurrence: Typically when launching iLumina, accessing the Bible Module, accessing the Media Center Module.
Resolution: This can be caused by two things. First is that your computer may have an old version of Windows Media Player installed, in which case we'd suggest updating it to at least version 7.1. Steps for this will be listed later in this article. Secondly, if you know that the version of Windows Media Player you're running is newer than 6.4 then you may just need to update to version 1.1 of iLumina. This update provides a number of improvements and features over iLumina 1.0 and is free for download: CLICK HERE.
Please follow the steps below to determine which version you currently have installed:
- Click on your "Start Menu" and go to "Programs" then "Accessories"
- In "Accessories" go to "Entertainment" then launch "Windows Media Player"
- Under the "Help" menu in Windows Media Player, click on the link that says "About Windows Media Player"

Click on the following link to go to the Windows Update page: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads. While at that web page please take the time to go through all of the update sections you find there. You'll see a section relating to your version of Windows as well as "Critical Updates" and "Driver Updates." You should be sure to pull updates out of all of these sections.
- Try iLumina again.
