I installed iLumina Gold/Upgrade and now I can't find it on my computer!
(Windows users) | (Macintosh Users)
Some users are experiencing a problem when they try to install the upgrade.
The installation program doesn't place an icon on the desktop after the
installation completes. You might see an "iLumina Bible" icon
but once you double click the icon it will try to open the old version
of iLumina (as intended) instead of iLumina Gold.
Step 1: Verify that iLumina Gold/2.0 was successfully installed.

Insert iLumina Gold disc# 1 into your CD-ROM drive.
What happens?

iLumina Gold launches
- What you are experiencing is the known issue in the
iLumina Upgrade Installer.

The iLumina Installer launches
- This indicates that you did not receive a successfull installation of iLumina
Gold. The installer will now attempt to perform another installation. The following steps will aid you in reinstalling iLumina Gold. |

Gold Installation Assistance: (Go Back)
Step 1: The Gold installer, will check on your computer for a previous
installation of iLumina will and ask if you would like to uninstall the
previous version.
Step 2: Click YES.
Step 3: At the end of the uninstall, you will receive a message
that reads "Some files could not be deleted", don't worry, simply click
OK.
( You can delete these files later )
Step 4: Now, iLumina 1.0 was uninstalled and only Gold remains on your
computer.
Step 5: Close all windows you might have open and in case you don't
find a short cut that launches iLumina Gold, you will be provided steps
to fix this at towards the end of this list.
Please continue on to completely
uninstall iLumina 1.0/1.1 from your computer.
Earlier you were alerted that "Some files could not be deleted", in the following steps you'll learn how to clean those un-needed files off
of your computer leaving only iLumina Gold.
Step 6: Double click the "My Computer" icon available on your desktop.
(Right click start button and select 'Explore" in case you can't
find the "My computer" icon)
Step 7: Double click your local disc "C:" to open it and view the files/folders inside
Step 8: Double click the folder "Program Files", once again to view the files/folders inside.
Step 9: Look for a folder called "iLumina" and click on it once
Step 10: Using your keyboard,
press the "Delete" key. Yes, you want to delete the folder named "iLumina" completely.
Step 11: After deleting this folder close all the windows and empty
your "recycle
bin". (right click on the icon named "Recycle Bin" and select "Empty")
Next, if you are unable to find the icon for iLumina Gold on your desktop
or in your "Start Menu", follow these steps.
Resolution to fix your ilumina icon.(Go Back)
Option 1: You can also download this small application that will automatically place iLumina icons on your desktop and in your Start
Menu. This application does require Shockwave to be installed. If you don't
have Shockwave or are unsure if you do, you can get it here.
Option 2:
Step 1: Please navigate to the directory (folder) in which you installed
iLumina. (Typically found here C:\Program Files\iLumina2\iLumina.exe)
Step 2: Create a shortcut by
holding down the right mouse button while the mouse is on the file named "iLumina.exe" and dragging it to either your desktop or wherever it is
you would like to have the shortcut made.
Step 3: Then select "Create Shortcut(s) Here" from the menu that is shown when releasing
the right mouse button.
Mac OS X users (Go Back)
If you’d like an iLumina icon in your OS X dock,
you can drag one there from the folder where you installed the program.
You can find it in [Macintosh HD]:Applications:iLumina2:iLumina (unless
you chose to install to a different folder).
